Who doesn’t like having a variety of deliciousness served even before we’ve decided on the main attraction? Apps give you something to nibble on (or devour) before starvation.

Nothing but a variety of everything mouth watering, delicious bites of heaven on a plate. For a fun change of pace, ditch the traditional main course dinner in favor of an appetizer dinner. At “The Local’s Eatery” you will find a variety of appetizers to enjoy. Veggie Lover? Try the ROASTED PORTOBELLO with lump crab, shaved parmesan, lemon butter and sweet remoulade…OR…FRIED GREEN TOMATOES with sriracha aioli & lump crab served over dressed spinach. YUM! And of course, since The Locals is ON the water, you’ve gotta have seafood! There’s the SRIRACHA SHRIMP, SMOKED TUNA DIP with “everything” flat bread crackers, and the EVER popular HOT CRAB DIP served with homemade greek pitas that are sooooo good you could eat them sans dip! Not a seafood fan? Order up a plate of HOT WINGS with your choice of house buffalo, sweet chili BBQ, blackened or nashville hot sauce. Lip Lickin’ awesome!

Read David M.‘s review of The Local’s Eatery on Yelp “My wife and I were driving around in Niceville looking for a great place to eat. We stopped at a couple of places but they were closed. So I started searching through Yelp and found this gem of a restaurant. We sat outside with a great view of the bay. Our waitress, Meghan, was very professional, friendly and attentive. She brought me a few samples of the locally crafted beers while we decided what to order. We chose the fried green tomatoes with lump crab as a starter. Honestly, this could just be a main course because it’s so good. We also got the shrimp and fish tacos with fries. Everything tasted fresh and like it was made just for us. We will definitely be going back in the near future.

We moved here in July and have only eaten at a few good Local places and this one takes the prize! Great appetizers! The fried green tomatoes are not to be missed. Plenty of shrimp and crab on top. My husband and I both ordered burgers and they were fantastic! Eat it like it comes… the onions and sweet pickles make it amazing and I usually don’t like sweet pickles… but trust me! Great swift service. The atmosphere is cozy, clean and overlooks the water and marina! If you are in Niceville and want a great meal with a local atmosphere go here! A wonderful surprise!
